Absolutely the items inside may be used! They’re often stickers, charms, glitter, etc.

The matchboxes are the crafty part of the swap, an endearing & personal touch that appeal especially to those interested in art & scrap booking. It’s more like a very nicely wrapped present than anything else. What the recipient does with it is up to them! They can be put to good use as anything—even to store matches—haha, used as a gift box for a tiny treasure to a beloved friend, used for a very cute storage, collected like ATC cards, displayed, etc.

~I have seen many of these swaps and was wondering what people do with these swaps when they are received? do you use the items inside? what do you do with the empty boxes if you do use up all the stuff inside? do you display them???

they are super cute, but I don't unerstand what the point is???
