just in time for valentine’s day…

What is this little heart? It happens to be the newest feature of the Swap-bot rating system. Ratings are still based on the 5 point system, but now there is a way to reward those swappers who really go above and beyond the swap expectations. You know the swappers I am talking about – the ones who send you those super-adorable swap packages, all decorated and filled with extra goodies, or the ones who look at your profile and manage to send you just the PERFECT item. Now you can give those special swappers a heart for being so wonderful.
This is what the rating info page now says about the heart system:
If someone sends you an extra special swap package that far exceeds the swap requirements, you can give that person a heart. The option to give someone a heart only appears when you give them the highest rating (”I got my stuff and it met posted swap requirements”). Under this rating option a check box will appear that you can mark if you want to give a heart. You do not have to give anyone a heart just because you gave them the highest rating. We suggest that you reserve giving hearts to those swappers who you think deserve even more than the highest rating (more than 5 points). The number of hearts a person has collected will be shown on their profile page next to their average rating. Lots of hearts indicates a very special swapper!
And, don’t fret, you can go back to your old swaps and retro-actively give hearts to anyone who previously sent you awesome swaps!
See how many hearts you can collect!

When you retroactively give hearts, remember to click the button that says “I got my stuff and it met posted swap requirements,” too. When I just clicked the heart box and submit, the heart didn’t take. Maybe it was a temporary glitch, but easy enough to click both options.
I like this new feature very much.
And I love that the ads don’t blink anymore.
Thank you!

Thanks for the nice comments!
It is true that you must give the person the highest level rating before you can check the “heart” box.

I love this new system too! I always tried to leave little comments that let them know how much I appreciated their efforts, but the heart system is great!

I am new to swap bot, but I think this is a great idea. What a great incentive for swappers to do their very best work! Is there a way to view all of the people that receive hearts, like a heart list?

I am fairly new to swap bot but i have been swapping and hosting for a few months now.I think it’s fantastic that we can now give hearts and i have given some myself.I also received my first heart today which was encouraging after the 1 rating i received. The 1 rating is very unfair considering I’m the swap hostess and i did tell her it was sent surface due to the weight.
Had it been sent Air it would still not have reached her in time. Not only that but she has a no send and low rating for sending trash.I feel very strongly that as wonderful as swap bot is and as wonderful as the rating system is we should be able to leave a follow up comment. It’s only fair that we should be able to tell our side of the story as well.
Thanks
Joyce
