Swap-bot is moving to a new host
Feb 17th 2007 05:06:17 pm
Swap-bot is going to be down for a couple minutes tonight as I begin the process of moving to a new server. I’ll start the move late tonight, and the site will only be down for a few minutes as I move around a few files in preparation for the move. It shouldn’t be too noticeable and the long term gain will be a Swap-bot that doesn’t go down as frequently as it does now.
**UPDATE**: The move is under way. I’ve switched what I can, now just need to wait for our DNS records to update across the web. If you see anything strange going on at Swap-bot please let me know.

I can’t get my login to stick (midnight EST). When I try to re-login it redirects back and forth between login screen and my swap list and then the browser gives up. Using both Safari and Firefox, latest version of each, on Mac OS X Tiger.
Guessing it has to do with server move, so I’ll wait until morning to check again.

I have noticed that alot of slashes (/) are appearing after any quotation marks or apostrophes that anyone uses on this site. I don’t know if that has anything to do with the server move, but I thought I would bring it to your attention.

Re: the slash issue, every time I save my profile, it adds another slash to any location that has them already. Dunno if that information is useful at all.

thanks for the updates on the server move… travis has been working on the slash issue and other little bugs that happened when we switched servers. thanks for your patience!
